Stellar Photo Recovery 5 is a multi-media file recovery tool that can
recover up to 35 image file formats, 21 audio file formats and 22 video
file formats. This includes proprietary file formats for all digital
cameras. It is very simple and easy to use as it doesn't restrict
recovery in any individual manner but allows you to recover 'as you like
it' with options like advance recovery, resume recovery or create
back-up. We installed the software on a 32-bit Windows 7 based machine
and used an 8 GB USB drive for recovering photos, videos and audio
files.
To use it, insert the storage device from which the files were deleted to your PC and open the recovery tool. All drives are instantly detected on the interface. Just select the drive/storage
device and go to advance scan at the bottom of the interface. This will
open a page with photo, audio and video on the right. Select
photo/video/audio and the interface will show the file formats that can
be recovered. Unselect all files and then select the specific file
format, if you can remember it. Without wasting time on searching
irrelevant files the tool will narrow down the search to the specified
format. Click on the right arrow to start the scan.
